The 10th Iran Petrochemical Forum was closed
After organizing 6 technical panels and 4 workshops, the 10th Iran Petrochemical Forum was closed by presence of Mr. Abdol Hossein Bayat, NPC managing director and Prof. Rodney Shakespeare, visiting professor at Triskati University of Indonesia, and representatives of 36 countries and activists of petrochemical industry.
Mr. Bayat in a short speech, expressed his happiness of the results of panels and thanked the participation of 1500 professionals, university professors, international guests and 15 representatives of foreign embassies to Tehran and said: the objective of this forum was to bring all petrochemical stakeholders together.
He continued:”All participants learnt the recent world technologies and along with this forum, some contracts were made.” After naming the forum’s objectives, quoting from Prof. Rodney, Bayat said:”The world should know that Iran is not looking for nuclear bomb and we are willing to establish peace and friendly relations between nations.” Bayat added:”We do not need nuclear bomb. Our nuclear bomb is development of petrochemical, oil and gas petrochemical and steel and aluminum mines. Last year, 16 million tons of petrochemical products was exported to 60 countries” He also realized that the contents of panels were new, applied and deep enough and give his sincere thanks to the panel chairs.
Closing his speech, Bayat mentioned the new achievements of petrochemical industry including: commissioning of West ethylene line, commissioning the first phase of Kavian petrochemical complex, achieving catalyst production know-how and record beating of installation of the heaviest petrochemical equipment weighing 930 tons by Morvarid petrochemical complex.
At the end, he thanked all members of the forum organizing team, speakers and panel chairs.
